Specialisation is the antithesis of the strategist.

The dedicated specialist cannot but grow their personal world so as to see all things through the lenses of their specialty: and what lies outside those boundaries may as well not exist, for it has no personal relevance.

The dedicated strategist borrows those lenses, as indeed also the lenses of a dozen other specialties and of the various persons under their delegation and of any and all relevant competitors; see what they see, utilise what they see ... and then release, before the self-imposed limits of the other become those of the strategist as well.
