It has been a week of miscommunications, of apologies, of missteps, of missed earlier clarifications, of repetitions and mis-repetitions, of inadvertent meanings carried along with what would normally have been relatively clear non-verbal interaction (and I don't speak of the sign of the figs!).

It also happens to have been the week I finally started to do by doing, to finally try to mend frayed bridges and catch up with all the people with whom I had fallen out of touch, to complete projects both active and too long delayed. Carrying water in a sieve; but when the alternative is to abandon the drinking of water entirely?

All things go in cycles, and the alternate way of looking at this one is to consider that maybe it might finally have moved to the upswing?

The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds; and the pessimist fears this is true."
- James Branch Caball

(And the realist notes how very quickly the attribution of this 1926 quote by a relative unknown was overtaken by the much better known J. Robert Oppenheimer.)
