I have had to actively teach myself, when I give feedback, to tell also what I find good. It does not lie in my background, I think: because experience in that context would have taught me never to look for positives at all, and least of all in the other person. Rather, it lies in my way of thinking: I automatically look for potential improvements - and neglect to mention what already is beautiful.
